Sub-drill was incorporated in 1992 and is a proven and trusted manufacturer and supplier of Subsea Tools, Drilling Equipment and Services to the Global Energy Industry.
Sub-drill with the help of its clients, continue to develop innovative products and services to enhance and improve the safety and efficiency of our customers operations.
Purpose Built Facility
In 2010 Sub-drill moved to a new purpose built facility in Westhill Aberdeenshire, where we have expanded our product range and invested in state of the art machinery to enable us to manufacture all of our products in-house. This has brought a number of efficiencies to the company enabling us to offer market leading products at very reasonable prices.
In 2026 Sub-drill added an additional facility to its portfolio to offer additional services to its client base. This addition provides Sub-drill with the in-house capability to carry out API 6A PR2-F qualification testing making Sub-drill the first company in the world that is able to offer a full turnkey subsea gasket design, manufacture and qualification service to the global oil and gas industry.

Sub-drill has specifically selected BSI (the British Standards Institution) to register the Company’s Quality Assurance system as meeting the requirements of ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems.
BSI is one of several UK providers that are regulated by UKAS (The United Kingdom Accreditation Service) – the sole national accreditation body recognised by government to assess organisations against internationally agreed standards.

Quality Management System
The Sub-drill quality management system also meets the requirements of API Q1 Specification for Quality Programs for the Petroleum, Petrochemical and Natural Gas Industry. Sub-drill can manufacture in accordance with API and ISO Standard or to client requirements.
In 2015, Sub-drill installed SEIKI software management to better integrate our production process, providing visual up to date management of the inventory and production processes, and maximising internal efficiencies for both ourselves and our customers benefit.
