Designed with advanced engineering principles, Sub-drill has applied for a patent on this unique lifting accessory.
Meticulously engineered to streamline the handling of drilling tools and equipment with rotary shoulder connections, the updated design delivers full compliance for both vertical and horizontal lifting. This unique new design significantly enhances rig-floor safety measures, allowing offshore operators to improve their overall operational risk management.
Advanced Engineering and In-House Quality Assurance
Developed to meet rigorous global benchmarks, Sub-drill’s patent-pending design is fully verified to API 8C and Norsok R002 standards. To guarantee absolute peace of mind during critical operations, the entire range is DNV Certified, with Design Verification Reports (DVRs) issued confirming strict compliance.
To maintain total quality control, Sub-drill utilises its premium in-house manufacturing capabilities. Each unit is machined from a single piece of high-quality steel to eliminate welding, ensuring maximum durability. The range offers standard working load limits (WLL) of 1.5-ton, 3-ton, 5-ton, and 10-ton ratings, with custom configurations available on request.
Design Optimised and Versatile Fleet Compatibility
A primary focus of this design evolution is the balance between operational safety and manual handling ergonomics. Rigorous design optimisation across the entire range ensures the lift caps are as lightweight as possible for personnel to handle. To ensure seamless integration into existing global fleets, the new Hook Type Lift Caps offer versatile compatibility. The product is available with all major types of rotary thread connections, including API, NOV Grant Prideco, VAM, and Tenaris. This widespread compatibility, combined with a lightweight yet robust design, positions Sub-drill’s latest innovation as an essential accessory for swift, safe equipment movement.
