Sub-drill / ROV Pre Mobilisation Testing
ROV pre-mobilisation testing also known as a “Wet Test” is an important and comprehensive testing phase that ensures a Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) system is fully operational, safe and compliant being deployed to the field.
Industry Compliance
Executing pre-mobilisation testing systematically verifies compliance with IMCA R 006 and / or the operators internal standard.
This critical validation process successfully ensures strict alignment with recognised industry standards and global best practice before equipment deployment.

Pre-Mobilisation Testing
• Inspection / Testing – Verify the physical condition of the ROV frame and operation of manipulators, thrusters and Launch and Recovery System (LARS).
• Proof Load Testing of the Launch and Recovery System (LARS) using water weights as required.
• Communication & Electrical – Testing surface controls, power distribution, insulation resistance (Megger testing), fibre optics and telemetry links.
• Hydraulic System & Tooling – carry out pressure and function checks on hydraulic power units (HPU’s), live tooling and hot stab interfaces.
• Camera & Sensor Calibration – Validate the operation of navigational sensors, sonar, altimeters and HD video quality.
• Ballasting adjustments to provide optimal buoyancy.
